Last summer, returning to the Isle of Wight on the Wightlink car ferry, I was lucky enough to come across the HMS Prince Of Wales. An impressive sight. This 65,000 tonne vessel is quite simply the UK's biggest warship. It can carry 40 helicopters and up to 1,600 crew members. It is like a small floating city. You can even see the sailors jogging on deck.
That's life on the Isle of Wight.

L'été dernier, en retournant sur l'île de Wight à bord du car ferry Wightlink, j'ai eu la chance de croiser le HMS Prince Of Wales. Un spectacle impressionnant. Ce navire de 65 000 tonnes est tout simplement le plus grand navire de guerre du Royaume-Uni. Il peut transporter 40 hélicoptères et jusqu'à 1 600 membres d'équipage. Il ressemble à une petite ville flottante. On peut même voir les marins faire leur jogging sur le pont.
Ainsi va la vie sur l’Ile de Wight.
